Why?

Endless screeching silence.
A languid draw, of thick, damp, poison
Some day. A relevation will make it clear.

I am waiting,
the clock has stopped.
tick, ..

Are we all just strangers in laundered clothes,
trying to tear into one another?

Our flaws, our salvation.
Black is clear and white is dense.
Freeze me in one thought. This.

The resthouse is within,
One of these walls, is a door.
knock.

Knock. Again.

Is anyone home?
Who are you?

Does it matter?

Polaroid

Tue Feb 5, 2008, 3:42 AM
Recently unearthed an old (about 12 yr old) polaroid camera (636 close-up) that my husband owns. I think he probably only used it not more than 5 times. It even had 3 remaining shots in the camera. So cool. It gave the photos such an retro feel. They came out... well looking like they were taken 20 years ago. Anyway, I'm thinking of getting some film for it and have a go at polaroids. Any advice on what film? any other tips?

Collecting Antiques

Since moving into my new home and thinking of new ways to decorate my small but cosy space ... i was just wondering...

Do you collect any antiques or collectibles? How about old cameras?
What is the oldest item you own?
What is your most prized material possession?

I'm nosey... :)

In my country nothing is really old... i guess we are a relatively new country compared to somewhere like greece or egypt or china... where they have 1000s of years history, so 'old' things are 'cool' to me... So i don't own anything thats more than 100 years old, but i just put a 40 year old Kodak (probably worth about $20 now) on my living room shelf. I know it will get dusty, but it's a waste keeping it in the cupboard in its case all lonely.
